Platoon (war film)

I watched Platoon for my war film. I chose this particular film because you suggested it. Platoon actually exceeded my expectations. I am not particularly interested in anything war related, so going into watching this I was not very excited. I thought I would find myself not intrigued with the film, but in the end I enjoyed it. I like some of the actors featured in Platoon, so enjoying that aspect of the film made it easier watch and follow along. I appreciated how well the actors portrayed certain scenes, because I found myself feeling frightened, sad, disgusted, uncomfortable, and happy all in one film. I put emphasis on the fact that felt uncomfortable, because of the constant inappropriate language and inappropriate/ suggestive scenes. I watched the movie on my laptop, in bed, after a long awful day of school so I inevitably fell asleep. But I did watch the film again on a weekend night when I wasn't tired, and it was actually entertaining. Although I did relish the film on my laptop, I feel that it lacked intensity in specific scenes that would have been prominent on a bigger screen. Overall I would rate this film a 8/10.
