This week for my movie review I watched and thoroughly enjoyed
the movie Talladega Nights. I had seen parts of it before but had never watched
the full thing through until it came out on Netflix. Will Ferrell did a great
job being extremely funny. I feel partly bias toward the movie however because I
usually enjoy any will Ferrell film. Through the movie the camera focused a lot
on certain products and almost seemed to be in every scene. I think it is a
fair assessment of the movie to say that they purposefully put these different
products in the movie to try to gain revenue. Some of the products for example
were, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Coke, Fig Newtons. As far as film techniques go, I
noticed a lot of overhead shots while racing as well as layering. I feel like
the film focused mainly on the actual content of the movie and trying to make
it funny and enjoyable rather than try to make the film cinematic gold. I would
give the movie a 9.5 out of 10 strictly because of how funny it was and I would
certainly recommend it to a friend
