I chose to watch Inglourious Basterds by Quentin Tarentino because I had heard many great things about it and it had the word Basterd in the title. I was not disappointed by this film, although I did not get a chance to finish it. Some shots I immediately recognized from our lessons was a rotation around the conversation with the SS leader, and the descending shot through the floor of the kitchen into the hiding place of the Jewish family. I regret not finding the time to finish the film, and will do that as soon as possible. I immediately began to feel a connection to the characters in the first scenes with Brad Pitt. The over-the-shoulder-shots in this scene connected me to a soldier's perspective. There were many great shots in this movie that I am beginning to understand and recognize very quickly. Overall it is a very enjoyable movie with an entertaining story. I would recommend this movie again.
