Jurassic World sci-fi

Jurassic World (Sci-fi review)

Jurassic World was actually the choice of my younger (freshman) sister, but I had been wanting to watch it as well for old times sake.  I had no idea that there are four Jurassic Park movies in total, and the only other one I have seen is the original Jurassic Park.  As soon as the movie began and I saw the 'world' itself I sighed in slight annoyance because I was under the impression that this was the movie chain's attempt to turn King's Island (the original Jurassic Park) into Disney World, which would probably not work out very well.  I was also very disappointed that this film does not have the same main actors as the first film because I think that helps carry on a story better.  Basically in this film, a newly-bred, infamously-dangerous new dinosaur gets lose from its habitat and wreaks havoc on all of the tourists as a result of the scientist's lack of knowledge of the monster's capabilities.  I eventually learned to like the main characters in this film, Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Owen (Chris Pratt).  I can relate to Claire, as the "buttoned-up" park executive and can enjoy looking at Owen, the muscular U.S. Navy hero.  He does not even need to follow the hero's journey to be seen as the hero, just saying. Even for a 21st century film, I think that this one has pretty good special effects over all from the dinosaurs themselves, to the futuristic technology of the 'world.'  I really hope the glass traveling bubbles become a reality some day because I would love to own one.  6.5/10.
