Interstellar

For my Christopher Nolan movie I watched Interstellar. Interstellar is the story of humanity's struggle to find a new home after an organism which converts oxygen to nitrogen takes over earth. The plot begins with Cooper's daughter, Murphy discovering patterns in her room which she believes are being created by a ghost. Cooper recognizes that the patterns are binary code made by gravity organizing dust. This dust revealed coordinates which Cooper goes to. There he finds a military base investigating planets capable of housing humanity on the other side of a convenient wormhole which 12 people had already gone through. Cooper is recruited to be one of the next people to go through and confirm the findings of the other pilots. He explores three planets. The first was Miller's planet on which time  had progressed so slowly that nothing had developed on the planet. The second one they go to is Mann's planet. On which Mann had been fudging data to receive help and rescue. Cooper doesn't make it to the third planet. In order to save his crewmate's life and preserve the mission he jettisons himself into a black hole where he discovers a bridge in space time which allows him to communicate with his daughter and give her the necessary data to save humanity. I really enjoyed this movie. The acting was really good especially by Cooper through his emotional journey in space. The cinematography and CGI was fantastic, looking as real as anything in the universe ever could. The plot was good but kind of feel flat for me at the end with the whole love transcends space and time thing. I would give this movie an 8/10 definitely worth seeing.
