This week I watched The Following because it was the only Christopher Nolan movie on Netflix and I was too lazy to find another movie. The Following is Christopher Nolan's debut film about a man who follows people around to try and find inspiration for his debut novel, and ends up taking interest in a specific man. The man finds out that this "young man" is following him and confronts him. He introduces himself as Cobb and the young man tells him his name is Bill. Bill gets caught up with Cobb robbing people. Bill starts dating a girl referred to as the Blonde. b In the end the Blond reveals that she is working with Cobb so that they could get someone to have similar type of robbery to get the blame off him for a murder at a place he robbed. Cobb use a hammer that Bill had already used to kill the Blonde but the prints on it are Bills and he ends up going to jail. The movie seemed a bit short but I enjoyed it and found it pretty interesting. The movie is in black and white which isn't my favorite and I thought the movie was maybe had a smaller budget but as this was his first directed movie it isn't necessarily surprising. Because of how short the movie was there wasn't much time for much more than the main plot and the movie had only three to four actors which was different from most movies I watch. Id give this movie a 7.5 out of 10.
